Kids Love Construction Equipment!

If you have ever been around little kids, you've probably noticed they tend to take an interest in big machinery.  My son even has a book called Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site that's all about telling the different construction equipment goodnight.   So when I heard that there was a construction-themed theme park coming to Tennessee I knew I had to learn more!

Dig'n Zone Theme Park

Located in Sevierville, Tennessee (the same Sevierville that's right by Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg) is a new theme park that sits on 27 acres of land.  Now this isn't your typical theme park with rollercoasters and merry-go-rounds, this theme park is full of construction equipment that you can operate!

According to Dig'n Zone's website, they currently have more than 25 construction-themed attractions ready to go when the park opens.

We are the world’s largest construction-based theme park with over 25 attractions spread over 27 acres. We are a family centric theme park where children and adults can spend a full day operating various construction equipment. We offer attractions and rides, such as, excavators, skid-steers, rollers, forklifts, loaders and many others.

What Kind of Attractions Will Dig'n Zone Have?

When looking at their website, they have a list and description of each attraction, and this seriously sounds like a construction fan's dream! They have everything from a real CAT 236 skid steer you can operate, to a CAT 302 excavator that you can use to dig or fill holes.  I think one of the most fun attractions is The Crusher where you can crush a car with a pavement roller, you can then go to the gift shop and take home the car you crushed along with an identical one to show your friends what it looked like before you ran it over.

When Will Dig'n Zone Open?

Good news, Dig'n Zone has plans to open very soon! According to their website, they will officially open for operation on March 1st, which means if you're planning a Smoky Mountain getaway this spring or summer, you will be able to check out the newest Smoky Mountain theme park!
