Folks in Evansville may or may not be surprised to by where the River City ranked among the rudest cities in the midwest.
Here in Indiana, we also have a lot of places full of southern hospitality. These places are full of residents who show kindness and warmth and are welcoming of visitors to their homes or towns. However, rude people are everywhere; let's be honest. You tend to find more of them in bigger cities because everything is more fast-paced, people are in a hurry, and tend to only look out for themselves. However, even in smaller towns, you will still run into a few rude people. When you think of Indiana, is there one city off the top of your head that is ruder than the others?
That question was answered by Best Betting Michagn. They wanted to know how cities in the Midwest ranked in terms of politeness. They conducted a survey of 2,000 Midwesterners to find out. As it turns out, Evansville, Indiana found itself at the very bottom of that list, making it the rudest city in the midwest.

According to Best Betting Michigan, when it comes to rudeness, Evansville scored a 5.82 out of ten on their rudeness scale. The website goes on to say:
The most notably rude thing Evansville residents do? Fail to hold doors for strangers. Only about 30% of Evansville residents say they see people taking part in this simple act of kindness frequently. They're also a bit more on the selfish side when it comes to gatherings with friends and family. Only 26% of residents say it's a common thing to bring food or a drink to share with others. That's the least likely in the region.
