Your spooky little heart will love all that this little city has to offer in the fall.

Fall Season Bucket Lists

It may be July, but the fall season is right around the corner.  Personally, my favorite time of year is the fall, because it's when things start cooling down, the leaves begin to change, and places are decked out for Halloween.  It's also the time pumpkin patches open up, and there's always something fun to do.  Recently, my friend Kat sent me a video about a little city in Kentucky, that is a must-visit in the fall, so you'll want to add this to your fall bucket list!

Cynthiana, Kentucky

Cynthiana, Kentucky is a small city of around 6,500 people.  But don't let the fact that this city is on the smaller side fool you, around the Halloween season, the community of Cynthiana comes together to make their city the perfect spooky destination. The city goes all out with fall and Halloween decor, and you'll find pumpkins everywhere! You can also see hundreds of skeletons while you're there. Take one look at the Visit Cynthiana Instagram account, and you'll see that there is so much Halloween goodness to find in the little city.  It might just be the spookiest city in the Bluegrass State!

The Annual Skeleton Decorating Contest

When you go to Cynthiana in the fall you can expect to see hundreds of skeletons. Every year the community goes all out for a skeleton decorating contest, where homes and businesses compete to see who can come up with the best skeleton display.  @BeforeTheCoffin on Instagram recently shared a video of the skeleton map and a few of the displays from last year, and as you can tell, people in this city take their skeleton competition VERY seriously.

Planning my spooky trip to Cynthiana now!
