Star of ‘Rookie of the Year’ Coming to Evansville for Special Movie Screening
Thomas Ian Nicholas, or as you might know him, Henry Rowengartner from "Rookie of the Year," will be coming to Evansville for a screening of the 1993 classic.
One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was "Rookie of the Year." It is still as good as an adult as it was when I was a kid. In fact, it's one of those movies that my kids enjoy watching with me. The movie follows a young boy, Henry Rowengartner, who breaks his arm in an accident that miraculously gives him an incredibly powerful pitching arm. His arm is so good that he becomes a major league pitcher for the Chicago Cubs.
The movie stars Gary Busey, Daniel Stern, and Thomas Ian Nicholas. I can't tell you how many lines from the movie I have quoted multiple times over the years. I mean who could forget the "pitcher's got a big butt" scene?!
I am beyond excited because I just found out that the star of the movie, Thomas Ian Nicholas, will be coming to Evansville, Indiana for a special screening of "Rookie of the Year, along with a Q&A and meet and greet. Regardless of how many times you have seen the movie in the past, this is one show that I wouldn't miss.
