One Indiana bagel shop serves up some pretty unique bagel dishes that have led to it being named the best bagel shop in the Hoosier State.

I have been sleeping on bagels my whole life. I haven't really eaten them for over thirty years, that was until earlier this year when I jumped on the bagel bandwagon and discovered the delicousness that are bagels. Now, I understand why people all over the country were distraught when McDonald's discontinued the breakfast bagel sandwiches and were overjoyed when they returned last year. A bagel sandwich for breakfast is the best kind of breakfast sandwich. I'm still fairly new to indulging in bagels, so there are so many that I have yet to try. That being said, I'm open to trying all kinds of bagel dishes.

So now, I am on a mission to get my hands on a wide variety of bagels. A plain bagel is great, but there are an endless number of flavors you can choose from. On top of that, the various bagel dishes that you can create are amazing. Recently, the food website Tasting Table looked at Google reviews from across the country to determine the best spots to get a bagel in each state. So naturally, I was curious which bagel shop is the best in Indiana.

This Gormet Bagel Shop Was Named the Best in Indiana

According to Tasting Table, the best place to grab a bagel in Indiana can be found in downtown Indianapolis. A fairly new bagel shop that offers a wide variety of bagel flavors, sandwiches, and so much more. It's called Sidedoor Bagels, and this is what Tasting Table had to say:

Sidedoor Bagel's website touts that it's the only locally-owned bagel shop in downtown Indianapolis — so that's reason enough to stop in. This shop has a pretty high average rating on Google Reviews at around a 4.6 average.

Its fresh sourdough bagels are boiled and prepped every morning and are available with a range of spreads, including both vegan and dairy-based options. One of Sidedoor's biggest draws, though, is its Lox nachos made with smoked salmon lox, cucumber, pickled red onions, capers, dill, and cilantro crème fraîche atop a bed of crunchy bagel chips. You'll need a fork — and a couple of napkins.

Now, the Lox Nachos are only available at certain times, but that doesn't mean that they don't have a lot of other delicious options to choose from!

You can take a look at Sidedoor Bagel's website to check out all the various bagel items that they offer by clicking here. With all the different flavors, sandwiches, and other items, you'll have a hard time not finding something to order...and an even harder time deciding what to order.
