Kat Von D Opens New Boutique in Small-Town Indiana

When you think of a celebrity opening a flagship boutique, a tiny river town in Southeastern Indiana probably isn't the first place that comes to mind.

But that's exactly what's happening this weekend.

After making Vevay, Indiana, her home, Kat Von D is officially opening VONDLAND, a new boutique that she describes as much more than just a shoe store. The grand opening takes place Saturday, July 18, and fans will even have the chance to meet her in person.

If you remember earlier in the year when I told you about Kat Von D's stunning black tulips, you'll probably understand why I find this so fascinating. She's continuing to put a little corner of Indiana on the map in a way I don't think many people expected.

 What is VONDLAND?

While VONDLAND began as a footwear brand, Kat Von D says the new shop reflects her broader creative interests.

Alongside her signature shoes, visitors can expect to find:

• Accessories
• Home decor
• Kitchen goods
• Limited edition merchandise
• Vinyl records
• A small quantity of her children's book

Future goth-inspired gardening products, including items tied to her famous black tulips.

She describes the brand as a place for people who appreciate artistic designs with a darker, moodier aesthetic.

Meet Kat Von D at the Grand Opening

The grand opening takes place at VONDLAND, located at 110 W Main Street, Vevay, Indiana

Doors open at 6 p.m. Eastern, and Kat Von D says she'll be there for a meet-and-greet, photos with fans, and shopping.

If you're planning to attend, arriving early is probably a good idea. According to Kat Von D, guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, and the line will be cut off at 9 p.m.

Shopping Doesn't End in Indiana

For fans who can't make the trip, the VONDLAND online store will officially launch at the same time as the grand opening, making the collection available worldwide.

Kat Von D also shared that the physical boutique won't maintain traditional daily business hours, at least initially. Instead, the shop will primarily open around new product launches and special events while the business continues to grow.

Another Reason to Visit Vevay

Vevay has always been one of those underrated little Indiana towns that's worth the drive. Sitting along the Ohio River, it's already known for its history, charming downtown, and beautiful scenery.

Now it has another distinction.
