Donate Now: Scholarship Honors the Life of Evansville Native Nicolas C. Belcher
It has been six years since a senseless act of gun violence robbed a young Evansville man of his life, but you can help keep his memory alive.
Nicolas Was a Bright Young Man Who Was a Role Model to Others
In 2018, the world lost a smart promising young man who believed in being a role model to others. Nicolas C. Belcher was only a few weeks away from his 21st birthday when his life came to an abrupt and startling end as he sat in his car.
On March 6, 2018 my son was murdered in Evansville, Indiana. Nicolas Caine Belcher was only 20 years old. His birthday was only 6 weeks away, and I was excited to celebrate his 21st. Instead of a time of joy, I received the call that no parent should ever receive. Nicolas had been shot and killed while sitting in his car. He had just dropped off a young lady at her home. They were just friends, but a jealous ex-boyfriend didn't care. He killed my boy in cold blood, fled the scene, and bragged about it on social media
