Seasons of Strength: Anthony Rapp’s Owensboro Event Relocates to Kentucky Wesleyan
Television, film, and Broadway star Anthony Rapp is coming to Owensboro this September. That announcement was made by New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services back in May at the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Rooster Booster Breakfast.

Rapp, who originated the role of 'Mark' in the musical Rent and is currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of the show's Broadway debut, is coming to town for "Stories, Stage, & Strength: Anthony Rapp in Conversation."
The event is set for 7pm, Saturday, September 26th. Initially, the conversation was set to take place inside the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro's Empress Theatre. However, a recent partial wall collapse at T.W.O. has required a relocation to a new facility.

In addition to his work on Broadway, Off-Broadway in his one-man show Without You (which I saw and loved), and his work on Star Trek: Discovery, Rapp has also become an important advocate for victims' rights. It's the latter that brings him to town on behalf of New Beginnings. As former Board Chair for New Beginnings and a huge Rapp fan, I will be sitting down with Anthony to walk through his incredible career and the life experiences that have shaped him into an important figure in the conversation for strength, resilience, and survival.
Tickets for "Stories, Stage, & Strength" are FREE. However, space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of the overwhelming demand for tickets, New Beginnings has established a ticket link that allows you to reserve your seat for the conversation. Tickets are limited to ONE PER PERSON.
As for the number of tickets available, our move to the Jack Wells '77 Activity Center on the campus of Kentucky Wesleyan College has expanded our audience capacity. However, if you would like tickets, you need to secure yours before they're all claimed. When capacity is reached, we'll establish a wait/cancellation list.
