Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop Changing the Road Trip Game

There is nothing Dolly can't do. Nothing she can't touch that won't turn to gold. Even a truck stop. After a lifetime on the road in a bus out traveling and touring, she knows exactly what people enjoy at a rest area and what they need.

Partnering with Cornersville's Tennessean Travel Stop, Dolly will put her name and her spin on the place. It will be the flagship location to open in Summer 2026 with plans for more in the future across Tennessee and beyond. Here's what she shared in a release on her website.

 

“I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus,” states Dolly. “All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops, and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what traveler’s desire on the road. Whether you are driving a truck, a bus, or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you for the rest of your journey. I believe we will fill a void out there on the highways, all while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee.”

Sooooo cuuuuute! Like a mudflap girl!! Obsessed. Honestly, my first thought is that this is gonna be like Buc-ee's but even better, right? Right now, there are gas pumps, a convenience store, a BBQ restaurant, special parking for truckers, a Tesla Supercharger station, and even a playground for kids nearby called Kidsville.

Dolly loves giving back to her home state of Tennessee, and I think this is the perfect new business venture for her. Who else would be better at making someone feel at home away from home on the road than a woman we all love and cherish? She also knows it's not just about where you're going, but how you get there.

I also did a little googling for your convenience.  The total trip down to Panama City Beach, including a stop at Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop, is 570 miles. Nine and a half hours, not including however long you rest, eat, and shop!
