The Magic School Bus And More: Explore Mahr Park’s Hay Bale Trail in Madisonville!!
Autumn at the Arboretum just got better! If you visit the official website of the Mahr Park Arboretum in Madisonville, that's exactly what you'll read. The increasingly popular Hay Bale Trail opened a couple of weeks ago and, through the end of October, you're invited to come tour the incredibly creative designs at the park.
2024 marks the 4th Annual Hay Bale Trail and, once again, dozens of local businesses, civic and nonprofit organizations have created 'impressive displays' and 'unique hay bale creations.' Each one is numbered and you're able to see who created and sponsored each design.
Sabrina Raymond, who lives nearby, took her son Asher a few days ago. She posted some fun photos of Asher's favorite hay bale creations. Here's a sample of what you can expect if you visit the trail.
THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS
THE PADDY WAGON
THE 'HOME ALONE' HOUSE
THE CAT IN THE HAT
DONKEY KONG
THE 'HOOT' OWL
WOODY FROM 'TOY STORY'

If you'd like to take your family to Hay Bale Trail (which is certainly Asher-approved), the park is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week.
