Get Ready For Holiday Cheer At Western Kentucky’s Top Craft Fairs
We're finally experiencing some Fall weather here in western Kentucky after some unseasonably warm temperatures that have made many of us forget what time of the year it is. While we haven't even put Halloween to rest yet, a lot of folks have still turned their attention to the holiday season. While it certainly may not feel like it outside, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.
Locally, a sure sign that the holiday shopping season is quickly approaching is Kraftucky, which is held the second weekend of November each year at the Owensboro Convention Center. The 11th Annual Kraftucky Arts & Crafts Expo, one of the biggest craft fairs in the entire state, gets underway on Friday, November 8th and runs through the 10th. This year's event will feature over 200 vendors selling all kinds of great holiday gifts and treats.

Well, there's a similar event here in western Kentucky that has an even more storied holiday history. The Ohio County Cooperative Extension has announced plans for its 45th Annual Homemaker Christmas Bazaar. It's coming up on Saturday, November 23rd from 8am to 2pm. The event takes place at the Ohio County Extension Office at 1337 Clay Street in Hartford, Kentucky.
Like Kraftucky, the Homemaker Christmas Bazaar will feature a variety of vendor booths. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, sign ups are underway now and there is still some space available. Booth rental is just $25 and you can secure your space by calling (270) 298-7441.
If you are interested in doing some shopping, simply save the date! Admission to the event is absolutely free and the extension agents invite you to "start your holiday shopping early."
