How often have you had a random encounter with a celebrity? David Letterman used to call them "brushes with greatness."

While I have met several in meet & greet scenarios backstage at concerts or at Country Radio Seminars in Nashville, those are really all planned and don't count. Don't get me wrong--I enjoyed every one of them. But it's so much more fun to just HAPPEN upon a big star you didn't expect to see.

My dad, a friend of his, and I got off an elevator at a Disney World hotel in 1979 only to see legendary pop singer Pat Boone standing across the room. Dad promptly introduced himself like he'd known him is whole life. In 1984, we flew to Dallas for Thanksgiving and sat right behind the Oak Ridge Boys on the plane.

Stuff like that. Your plans are fun enough and then THAT happens, right?

A Florida Fall Break Bonus

Now, if you're rating encounters based on how likely they are, I'm going to put the Oak Ridge Boys and I on the same plane flying out of NASHVILLE below what happened to Rachel Latanzio and her family this weekend. Imagine it...you're shopping at a Sandestin Lululemon; it's fall break; and then, lo and behold, you look up, and there's Kane Brown.

I doubt Rachel's daughter Laney and her niece Avery expected THIS for fall break. Talk about a bonus. And Rachel tells me that Kane's wife Katelyn was with him and they chatted for a few minutes and that they were both very nice people.

Kane Brown Florida Sightings? No Biggie, As It Turns Out

You know, a Kane Brown sighting in Destin FL shouldn't be a huge surprise anymore; he and the family have moved there.

Destin's a popular vacation spot in Florida. The next time you're there, Kane Brown could be in the Wendy's drive-through in front of you. Who knows?

Country Music's Toughest Acts to Follow

There's are some act in country music that are just too hard to follow. They bring the presence of a headliner to every performance, they command the stage and they hold the audience in the palm of their hand.

We asked several country artists which act they would not want to play after at a show. Keep scrolling to see which artists are just too good to follow up.
