How Will Hurricane Beryl Affect Southern Indiana’s Weather This Afternoon?
If you can feel the weather in your joints and bones like I can, you know that we are in for some stormy weather this afternoon.
Storm Arrival Times
Our friends at the National Weather Service in Paducah are putting in some long hours this year. We seem to have a lot of pop-up storms and some that they can really pinpoint. Today's severe weather outbreak is from our friend from the south, Beryl.
Of course, anytime there is a threat of severe weather, you should pay attention to local weather sources, like radio for warnings and WEHT. Anytime Wayne Hart, Ron Rhodes, Stacy May, and Joe Bird are wall-to-wall with weather warnings, our station simulcasts their information.
As the remnants from Beryl pass across the area later today, the wind fields along and east of the storm’s track will be conducive to the development of organized supercell and multicell thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes and damaging winds this afternoon and early this evening. The time frame for the greatest concern starts around noon and continues through 9 PM this evening.
